The third highest mountain in Slovenia, Mangart 2678m, offers you the most daring and most aerial ferrata in the Julian Alps. It is adorned with beautiful views and exposed places that end on a saddle, and onwards the Slovenska route leads us to the top of the mountain.
We start the tour from the Mangart saddle at 2055m, where we arrive by car. From there we descend in the direction of the bivouac Nogara (1800m) and back underneath the wall, where ferrata begins. With the help of staples and steel wire, we climb a steep wall. The rock is great, views phenomenonal. Ferrata brings us back to the saddle from where we continue along the Slovenian route – ferrata, that runs along the Mangart gorge, which brings us to the summit of Mangart, 2678m. We descend on easier Italian path back to the Mangart saddle.
