The second greatest classic of the Triglav north wall

The Short German route in the Triglav north wall represents an even bigger challenge than the Slovenian route. Constant climbing of the third level of difficulty will not leave you indifferent, especially not the last exit stretch in Zimmer - Jahn's exit. A few places are also rated with the lower fourth level of difficulty. You can climb to the top of Triglav over the Kugy ledge, the western Triglav wall and the northern ridge.

The route belongs to the iron guiding and climbing repertoire of our mountains. It takes place mostly on a good scale and has individual fourth graded parts. It is characterized by well-arranged problems along the entire route and picturesque and exposed climbing in the upper part. The route also has many variations. The most common climbing route is the Zimmer - Jahn variation, which shortens the route by 200 m and has the popular name 'Short German'. It was climbed as far back as 1906 and follows a characteristic pillar in the left part of the Wall.

We will start the tour in the parking lot in front of Aljaž's hut (1015 m) and walk over the path across Prag to the foot of the Wall, where the entrance is in both Slovenian and German route.

We will climb a characteristic ridge and climb all the way along or a little to the left and right of the central pillar. In between we will step on the characteristic piers. Opposite the German castle, a characteristic yellow wall with a large crack awaits us, which leads us to the place where we have the castle in the palm of our hand. The last steeper part then leads us to the registration book, which lies on the German turn. Next we will follow the German gorge and at the end of it we will join the exit Zimmer - Jahn. Here, in the exit stretch, a key place in the direction awaits us.

We will exit to the Triglav glacier (approx. 2300 m) and from there we will join the path across Prag and descend to Vrata valley. In case of fatigue, you can also climb to Kredarica lodge and descend to Krma valley.

Another option is to extend the route to the top of Triglav. We continue moving up the glacier towards the Kugy ledge. We just cross it and come to the Western Triglav plateau. From there we will climb the western wall to the northern ridge and then on to the top of Triglav (2864 m). So we will do with 1300 altitude meters of climbing.

The guide is intended for adults and children over the age of 15. The guided tour starts by appointment, and with our transport we pick you up in front of your room, apartment or hotel. We take care of all the necessary technical equipment.
