Via ferrata Jerm’n

Via ferrata Jerm’n is intended for true adrenaline enthusiasts. The newest, most daring, airiest and most difficult via ferrata in Kranjska Gora will not leave you indifferent. The verticality of the via ferrata and the beautiful views of the Martuljek group are its best features.

In Gozd Martuljek, next to the hotel and camp Špik, in the walls above the camp you can see an interesting waterfall Jerman, which the locals call Jerm’n.

The via ferrata is 220 m long and overcomes an altitude difference of 180 m, and is rated with a D / E difficulty rating. Climbing this via ferrata requires prior technical via ferrata knowledge and greater physical strength.

On the guided tour we are additionally protected with a guide rope. We climb along the waterfall and cross its riverbed twice over attractive bridges. All the time, on one side we have a view of the peaks of the Martuljek group, and on the other side is the wild gorge Jerm'n, which we climb.

For the via ferrata, we recommend a basic via ferrata set: a helmet, a climbing harness and a self - protection system. If you do not have your own equipment, you can also rent it in our agency and is included in the price.

The guidance is intended for adults and children from the age of 12 - 13 and a height of 150 - 155 cm. The guided tour starts from our Office in Mojstrana, or with our transport we can pick you up in front of your accomodation in destination in Kranjska Gora. We provide all the necessary technical equipment.

The rocks throughout the gorge are smooth and can be slippery due to water erosion, so sturdy trekking shoes with good tread are recommended.

An individual mountain guide can guide up to 3 persons. For groups with more than 3 people, an additional mountain guide is needed, which is charged according to the valid price list, depending on the number of people they guide.
